George Patton was a leading U.S. Army general in World War II and a senior commander of the new tanks corps in World War I. He was considered a brilliant military leader whose record also included some lack of personal control and outspoken behaviour. He had absolute faith in himself as a strategist and master of daring which infected his army with the belief that they could not be defeated under his leadership.
